Wireless connection?

my machine is configered for wireless, with the required card, and a small anntena, at the back of my tower. Ido have a good netgear router,(54mbps) but sometimes a poor signal being recieved at the pc.I see on e-bay a netgear USB 2.0 Adaptor (108mbps). Anybody see any problems going this way ? thanks
