Why are these accounts on my credit report when the oldest account shows paid as agreed?

There are 4 different agencies reporting the same account on my cred. report. They all have the same acct. # and open date but have different closing and reporting dates. 1 company reports the account pays as agreed with zero bal., 0 past due and closed on 4/2003(remarks say purch. by another lender). The next acct. says charge off with bal. , 0 past due and closed on 2/2004.the third acct. is reporting charge off with bal.,0 pat due and closed on 6/2006.the last acct. actually is reporting the same acct. name as the others above but with an acct.# that is for a different collection of mine that they have and no open date just a reporting date on 8/2007with a bal. and a past due amount.The other three accounts all have the same open date and acct.#.So, with 1st acct. being payed as agreed and closed before all others, why are the other collection accts. even on my report?
