Should my word/letter tattoo on the inside wrist face me, or read upside dwn to me?

I want to get an R initial tattoo wiv my DOB underneath, but im not sure what way up it should go, so i can read it wen i hold my palm toward me, or so it can b read by others wen my arm is by my side. Plz help! xXx
