Is Islam a deception?

With terms in your faith such as "taqiya," "Sharia Law," and "Jihad." Why should non-believers be tolerant of Islam when it appears Islam is dead set on spreading Islam not only as a religion but as a totalitarian political machine stressing intolerance of non-believers and other religious faiths? How do we know your response isn't the princple of "taqiya" with the intent to brainwash or manipulate?
